Des retrouvailles inattendues à travers un bon film - Unexpected reunion through a good movie

It was while watching the movie "Bowling" (with Mathilde Seigner and Catherine Frot) that we had the pleasant surprised of seeing Anne Pia, a neighbor during the time we lived in Meylan (in the agglomeration of Grenoble). She plays the secretary of the deputy prefect and Isabelle recognized her immediately. We were able to contact her through her website where we discovered that she lives in Brittany and in addition to acting in films, she sings and produces shows for adults and children with her friends. Her theatre company brings together artists to seek, invent and  produce shows, and then go to meet people to offer them to be spectators. It was a real joy for her and for us to find each other and we will exchange between Australia and Britain!

The story of "Bowling" happens in Carhaix, in the heart of Brittany. A small hospital with a maternity peaceful where there are not many deliveries. Mathilde, midwife, Firmine, pediatric nurse, and Louise, owner of the Bowling live in Carhaix, happily and friendlily. Catherine, HR manager, is sent to restructure the hospital and in particular close the maternity ward which is losing money. Four women, with different ages, personalities and origins are united to defend this ward. The film is based on a true story: in 2008, all the inhabitants of Carhaix demonstrated during 17 weeks to prevent the closure of the maternity ward of their local hospital, and eventually succeeded.
